Promotional Payer Copywriter (market access) – $95K/yr – $135K/yr + Bonus
We are seeking a Payer and Market Access Copywriter to develop compelling, strategic, and regulatory-compliant content tailored for payer audiences, market access teams, and healthcare decision-makers. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical market access, payer messaging, and healthcare reimbursement landscapes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting promotional materials that effectively communicate the value, clinical efficacy, and economic impact of pharmaceutical brands and healthcare solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging, persuasive, and medically accurate copy for payer and market access promotional materials, including value propositions, formulary dossiers, HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) communications, AMCP dossiers, and reimbursement guides.
- Translate clinical data, pharmacoeconomic information, and market access strategies into compelling narratives for payer audiences.
- Ensure all copy is aligned with brand strategy, payer marketing goals, and regulatory/legal requirements (including medical-legal reviews).
- Collaborate closely with account teams, medical strategists, and creative teams to ensure message consistency across multiple channels.
- Conduct research on payer landscapes, healthcare trends, and reimbursement models to inform strategic messaging.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and content planning to develop innovative approaches for engaging payer and market access stakeholders.
- Ensure brand-specific style and tone are consistent throughout all materials.
- Adapt content for various formats and channels, including slide decks, digital content, print materials, and field sales tools.

Qualifications and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising, medical communications, or healthcare marketing, with a focus on payer and market access copywriting.
- Strong understanding of payer audiences, healthcare reimbursement, and market access challenges.
- Experience working with clinical data, HEOR content, and value-based messaging.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance processes, including medical-legal review (MLR).
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to simplify complex medical and economic data.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical, marketing, creative, and strategy teams.
