Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Web Content Architect to assist with migrating around 80 Drupal websites to a new codebase and design. The ideal candidate will work closely with agency content managers, leveraging Google Analytics and other SEO tools to provide insights on content optimization, navigation, and content retirement. The role also involves enhancing website accessibility, training content managers on the new web design system, and assisting with the manual migration of content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with content managers to analyze Google Analytics data and provide recommendations for content retirement, redesign, and navigation.
- Enhance website accessibility following best practices.
- Assist in training content managers on the new web design system and ensure smooth content migration.
- Provide Google Analytics reports and set up Google Tag Manager.
- Utilize Google Search Console to manage sitemaps and remove 404 pages from indexing.
- Work with common content management systems like Drupal, WordPress, and DNN.
- Prepare training documentation and deliver training to users.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field.
- Proficient in keyword placement and SEO best practices (3+ years of experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to edit content for readability at an 8th-grade level.
- Experience with content writing, editing, and publishing for websites.
- Knowledge of web accessibility best practices.
- Experience with Google Analytics, including reporting and analysis (3+ years).
- Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console.
- Experience with content migration, particularly on Drupal websites.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (Monsido, Crazy Egg, etc.).
- Solid experience with CMS platforms like Drupal, WordPress, and DNN.
- Account administration experience.
