Youtube Shorts Concept Writer | Sky Castle Toys
We’re looking for a highly creative, trend-savvy writer to develop viral-ready YouTube Shorts concepts for the Jelly Besties channel. This is not traditional scriptwriting, your job is to create scroll-stopping video ideas designed to perform.
You will be responsible for delivering fully packaged video concepts in a format optimized for Shorts: title + thumbnail concept + structured beat outline.
What You’ll Do
- Generate high-volume, viral-focused YouTube Shorts concepts
- Deliver ideas in a Title + Thumbnail + Beat Structure format
- Tailor concepts to 4 different on-camera cast members (each with distinct personalities)
- Create ideas optimized for:
- 20–60 second runtime
- High retention + rewatchability
- Strong first 1–3 second hooks
- Stay on top of trends in:
- Kids/teen content
- Sensory/satisfying content
- Challenge-based formats
- YouTube Shorts / TikTok viral patterns
Concept Submission Format (Required)
Each concept must include:
1. Title (Hook-first, clickable)
- Designed like a viral Shorts title
- Clear, curiosity-driven, fast payoff
2. Thumbnail Idea
- What is visually happening?
- Expression, props, moment of tension or surprise
- Must be instantly understandable with no context
3. Video Beat Outline (Bullet Points)
- 5–10 quick beats max
- Focus on what happens, not dialogue
- Must include:
- Hook (first 1–3 seconds)
- Escalation / twist
- Payoff or satisfying ending

Thumbnail:
Cast member shocked, holding slime split open slightly, glowing ring barely visible inside
Beats:
- Immediate hook: “Don’t eat that yet…”
- Suspense as slime is examined

- Reveal hidden toy inside
