Job Description:

The Content Writer will entirely own the content roadmap and is responsible for executing it across all formats — comprehensive guides, blog posts, social media content, and educational resources. This is an 80% writing role; exceptional writing ability and the capacity to produce authoritative, well-researched long-form content are the primary qualifications for this position.

The role operates within an AI-first content strategy. The writer will leverage internal AI tools to maintain brand voice consistency, conduct research, verify facts, and produce comprehensive guides of 6,000–10,000 words optimized for AI citation. Duties to include, but not limited to the following:

  • Own the content roadmap and execute consistently across all content types, maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and voice.
  • Use AI tools as a core part of the daily writing workflow — replicating brand voice, conducting research, and verifying facts without compromising accuracy or quality.
  • Collaborate with the E-Learning Project Coordinator and subject matter experts to understand topics, gather source material, and deliver on content briefs.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering on outcomes independently.
  • Proofread and self-edit all work before submission, ensuring content is accurate, consistent in voice, and publish-ready.
  • Blog and Long Form Content
  • Research and write comprehensive guides of 6,000–10,000 words that are authoritative, well-structured, and optimized for AI citation.
  • Write blog posts and thought leadership pieces that position the company as a credible voice in the workplace safety and training space.
  • Write accurately on technical and regulated subject matter, including safety and compliance topics, through thorough research and collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Adapt writing style and depth for different audiences, from frontline workers to safety managers and HR professionals.
  • Monitor content performance and contribute to the ongoing refinement of content strategy.
  • Social Media Content
  • Write social media posts that are concise, on-brand, and aligned with broader content campaigns.
  • Adapt long-form content into short-form formats suitable for social distribution.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all public-facing written content.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing ability (narrative writing) is absolutely required, coupled with extensive and thorough researching abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience writing long-form, comprehensive content in the 6,000–10,000 word range.
  • Background in content marketing or editorial work, with a portfolio showing blogs, guides, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Proficiency using AI tools for writing, research, and fact verification as part of a daily workflow.
  • Understanding of AI-first content strategy and how to write for AI citation.
  • Strong research skills and a disciplined approach to fact-checking and source verification.
  • Self-directed and reliable — able to manage workload independently and deliver on committed timelines.
  • Prior experience writing on safety, compliance, workplace training, or related regulatory topics is an asset but not required.
  • Prior experience in safety, compliance, or related fields is advantageous but not required.
