Writer / Content Collaborator (Psychology & Wellness) – $100/hr – $175/hr + Bonus

Greenwich Psychology Group is seeking a highly experienced editorial writer and content collaborator with a strong background in psychology, mental health, and wellness. This role is designed for a seasoned writer who can work closely with clinical leadership to develop, refine, and elevate psychology-focused content for public-facing platforms and media.

Role Overview
In this role, you will work in close collaboration with our clinical leadership team to help shape, develop, and refine psychology and wellness content. Topics, clinical direction, and core ideas will be provided. This role is collaborative in nature and requires precision, discretion, and strong alignment with clinical standards.
Content may include:
- Psychology and wellness articles
- Thought leadership pieces
- Educational blogs and newsletters
- Website and patient-facing materials
- Media-related content and editorial drafts
Key Responsibilities
Editorial Collaboration & Writing Support
- Collaborate closely with clinicians to develop psychology and wellness content
- Structure, refine, and polish articles based on provided ideas, outlines, and clinical input
- Ensure content is accurate, empathetic, and aligned with evidence-based psychology
- Adapt tone and structure for different audiences and platforms
Research & Content Quality
- Conduct background research to support accuracy and clarity
- Assist with fact-checking and source validation
- Ensure content reflects current thinking in mental health and wellness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Writing, Psychology, Literature, Health, Wellness, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in psychology, mental health, or wellness content development in major outlets
- Required Publication Experience: Candidates must have prior, verifiable publication experience in high-authority, nationally recognized outlets such as Newsweek, Verywell Mind, Healthline, NOCD, Men’s Health, or other leading wellness magazines or national news outlets of comparable caliber. Applicants must provide live links to articles published in these outlets (or equivalent publications). Submissions without live links at this level will not be considered.
- Demonstrated experience working with senior professionals, clinicians, or subject-matter experts
- Strong editorial, writing, and revision skills
- High level of professionalism and discretion
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet weekly deadlines
- All work must be original and human-authored (AI-generated content is not permitted)
Compensation
- Compensation: $100–$175 per article
- Additional compensation tied to scope and volume of work
