Writer, Capture Higher Ed – $25 – $29 an hour

The Content Writer is responsible for creating high-quality, personalized content that drives client engagement and conversions. This role primarily focuses on launching landing pages through our content management system, while also supporting email marketing campaigns and direct mail initiatives. The writer will collaborate closely with Marketing Campaign Managers and must demonstrate strong technical proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) to execute and optimize landing page experiences that align with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Launch and manage personalized landing pages using the content management system (CMS), ensuring all content is optimized for user experience and conversion
  • Write compelling, conversion-focused copy tailored to specific audience segments for both landing pages and other marketing materials
  • Maintain and update landing page content based on performance data and client feedback
  • Follow all assignment briefs and creative guidelines
  • Meet all content deadlines as outlined in weekly sprint schedules by the Project Management Team
  • Collaborate with Graphic Designers to ensure seamless integration of copy and visual elements within the landing page
  • Partner with Marketing Campaign Managers to develop content across multiple channels, including landing pages, email marketing, and direct mail campaigns
  • Create both short-form and long-form content that resonates with target audiences
  • Support Google Display and Google Search campaigns during peak seasons

Campaign Management & Optimization:

  • Implement client change requests across all campaign types, with particular attention to landing page updates in the CMS
  • Communicate with Client Success Managers, Project Managers, or Senior Enrollment Advisors to clarify ambiguous client feedback
  • Coordinate with Graphic Designers to execute revisions and prepare content for client review
  • Track all rework requests in the Digital Asset Management platform to build institutional knowledge and reduce future revision cycles
  • Proactively identify opportunities for content improvement based on client feedback patterns

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional marketing, communications, or content writing experience
  • Proven experience working in a content management system (CMS) such as Figma, WordPress, HubSpot, Drupal, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to create conversion-focused landing pages
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in the higher education industry
  • Experience with personalization strategies and A/B testing for landing pages
  • Familiarity with workflow management systems (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Jira)
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management systems
