UX Writer – eCommerce, Subscriptions, Check Out Flows

Our leading innovative consumer brand is seeking a UX Writer to join their team. Must be local to Santa Clara Valley for possible onsite meetings. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 month contract.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled UX Writer to join our dynamic team, focusing on creating compelling and user-centered content for our digital products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of user experience principles and will work collaboratively to enhance our commerce and subscription offerings through effective storytelling and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centered content for digital experiences, check out flows, eCommerce, and subscriptions.
  • Write clear, concise, and compelling copy for various touch points, including checkout flows, product descriptions, and service explanations.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications and wire frames to ensure alignment with design and product goals.
  • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to refine content and improve user experience.
  • Utilize systematic thinking to craft content that meets legal and policy requirements while enhancing usability.
  • Participate in design reviews and presentations to advocate for user-focused content solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of content strategies that align with business objectives and user needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, UX Design, or a related field.
  • Professional experience as a UX writer focusing on eCommerce, Check Out, Subscriptions, and other relevant digital experiences.
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and best practices.
  • Excellent storytelling and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with commerce and subscription models is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and engineering.
  • Familiarity with payments and checkout flows in the digital space is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines.
