Story Writer (Remote, Independent Contractor)

As a story writer, you will contribute to an exciting, world-class project that features attractions, retail and entertainment experiences, and imaginary worlds. You will draft clear and engaging descriptions and storylines and will take part in brainstorming exercises.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct cultural research to inform concepts.
• Gather notes from project leaders to ensure all necessary elements are included in your drafts.
• Develop, write, and maintain high-quality scripts.
• Revise scripts as needed.
• Be an active participant in calls with internal team members.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Themed Entertainment, or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of experience as a writer. Themed experience writing is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and scripting programs such as Final Draft.
• Knowledge of story structure, script formatting, and experience design.
