Monday-Friday 40 hours/week, paid for hours worked
Annual Pay approximately $75-90,000 based on experience
Interview Process: Recruiter Phone Conversation, Writing Exercise, Virtual Client Interview.
**We are not looking for a software engineer, but the more experience you have in this environment, the better**
Purpose:
1. Create a set of step-by-step guides for the clients partners.
- These public-facing guides describe how to integrate a game with our online services using our SDK interfaces. The guides’ example code will be in C++ and C#.
- You will write and edit the guides, working with coders with limited or no previous technical writing experience.
- You will be supported by a technical writing team with an established style guide, standard terms, and editorial process.
2. Create documentation on standards and approaches for internal use.
- You will work with subject matter experts and producers to create clear documentation.

Must Have All:
- Experience writing and editing technical documentation.
- Experience documenting products or services aimed at technical users.
- Excellent written (English) and spoken communication skills.
- Experience adhering and contributing to a writing style guide.
- Experience iterating on documentation to create clarity.
- Experience writing how-to instructions for software development.
- Experience working in a software engineering environment, and some understanding of code.
- Experience reviewing other people’s writing, including less-experienced technical writers, and giving constructive feedback.
Ideal Candidate will also have:
- Experience working in an agile software development environment, using version control systems (GitHub, Perforce), Jira, Confluence, Slack.
- Experience writing game-developer-facing documentation.
- Experience developing software in C++ or C#
- Experience writing sample code (either professionally, or as a contributor to forums, or as a blog writer or similar content creator).
- Experience adhering to a coding style guide.
- Experience building a video game with Unreal Engine and using Unreal Engine Plugins.
- Experience building a video game with Unity.

- Comfortable with a strongly collaborative writing environment with rigorous peer feedback and iteration to create clear documentation.
