Social Media Coordinator – $50,000 – $55,000 a year
The Social Media Coordinator will lead Child Rescue Coalition’s digital storytelling across all social platforms to grow our community, elevate our mission, and mobilize supporters to take action. This role is responsible for social media strategy, daily content creation, community management, influencer partnerships, and brand consistency across channels.
The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, passionate about child protection, and deeply familiar with social trends, platform best practices, and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Management
● Develop and execute a multi-platform social media strategy aligned with Child Rescue Coalition’s mission and fundraising goals.
● Manage content calendars, ensuring strategic distribution of campaign content, awareness initiatives, and evergreen storytelling.
● Create compelling, mission-driven content which can include graphics, short-form video, captions, and stories.
● Maintain consistent brand voice, tone, and quality across platforms.
● Track trends, hashtags, and moments to position Child Rescue Coalition in relevant conversations.
Content Creation
● Produce high-quality social content— which can include videos, graphics, photos, reels, TikToks, and stories.
● Collaborate with internal teams to gather stories, data, and visuals that support programming and campaigns.
● Optimize content for growth and engagement using platform-specific best practices.
Community Management
● Serve as the online “voice” of Child Rescue Coalition, actively monitoring, responding to, and moderating comments, messages, and community interactions.
● Engage thoughtfully and sensitively with supporters, survivors, parents, and advocates.
● Identify opportunities to deepen relationships with top supporters and superfans.
● Develop guidelines for engagement, tone, and comment moderation.
Influencer & Ambassador Management
● Build and manage relationships with influencers, ambassadors, and mission-aligned content creators.
● Identify potential partners and execute outreach strategies for collaborations.
● Coordinate content, approvals, and campaign integration with influencer partners.
● Track influencer performance metrics and ROI.
● Maintain Child Rescue Coalition’s ambassador/influencer database.
Analytics & Reporting
● Track KPIs (engagement, reach, follower growth, conversions, etc.) across all platforms.
● Prepare monthly social media reports with insights and recommendations.
● Use analytics to optimize content strategy and inform campaign planning.
Cross-Department Collaboration
● Work with Programs, Development, Events, and Executive teams to support communication needs.
● Support fundraising campaigns, awareness days, program launches, and event coverage.
● Coordinate with designers, videographers, and the communications team to refine visual storytelling.
Qualifications
● 2+ years experience managing social media for a brand, nonprofit, or agency.
● Strong understanding of digital marketing, community engagement, and social analytics tools.
● Demonstrated experience growing social channels and driving measurable engagement.
● Skilled in content creation
● Experience managing influencers or ambassador programs preferred.
● Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.
● Ability to handle sensitive content thoughtfully and responsibly.
● Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
