Job Description :
HeyOrca is looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Community Strategist to lead our social strategy while being involved in daily social media management.
In this role, you’ll drive the growth of our social media and HeyOrca user community, turning followers into engaged advocates. You’ll also work alongside our Social Media Manager to create content, manage scheduling, and foster community relationships.
Responsibilities :
Build a social media strategy focused on community growth and acts of advocacy
- Develop and execute a social media strategy that aligns with HeyOrca’s overall business and marketing goals.
- Identify new opportunities to expand brand awareness, engagement, and community interaction across key platforms.
- Track and analyze key social insights weekly, using data to refine strategy and recommend optimizations.
Create high-value content for our community
- Collaborate with our Social Media Manager to plan and build out a content schedule that speaks to social media managers and agencies, reflecting HeyOrca’s brand narrative – relatable, community-driven, and focused on your success.
- Create engaging, value-driven content that highlights HeyOrca’s innovative platform and resonates with our audience.
- Experiment with formats and trends to keep content fresh, fun, and impactful.
Collaborate with our community
- Partner with creators, customers, and team members to co-create content that amplifies HeyOrca’s brand and message.
- Encourage and showcase user-generated content, celebrating real stories of how our community uses HeyOrca to succeed.
Share social media expertise with the community
- Serve as the social media expert in our weekly webinars alongside our Community Strategist, sharing platform insights, trends, and best practices with our audience.
- “Do the homework” for our community – for example, maintaining HeyOrca’s trending audio blog and spreadsheet, collecting trends our community should hop on, and keeping our community up to date on platform changes.
Requirements:
- 2+ years in social media strategy and 4+ years in social media management
- Knowledge of current social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms.
- Familiarity with HeyOrca (or other social media management tools)
- A strong communicator with a knack for community building
- Skilled in content creation, from writing to basic design/video editing
- Strong collaboration skills
