Social Media and Community Growth Specialist
Imagine taking a brand with little national social presence and helping make it a household name. Every week, Grasons manages estate sales filled with discoveries people genuinely want to see: rare collectibles, vintage cars, unusual artwork, family heirlooms, historical artifacts and, occasionally, something no one expected.
Your job will be to find those stories, bring them to life and build a community that cannot wait to see what Grasons discovers next. You will turn estate-sale content into posts and videos that grow a national audience, send shoppers to local sales and online auctions, and lay the foundation for future membership offerings.
This is a builder role. You will help create, improve and scale the national content engine. You will build the Grasons brand; you are not expected to become the on-camera face of the company.
What You Will Own
- Build and grow the national Grasons presence, with an initial focus on Instagram and Facebook and thoughtful expansion into TikTok, YouTube and other relevant platforms. Engage the community and use performance data to improve hooks, formats, retention, sharing and conversion.
- Create, edit and publish a high volume of platform-native content, including short-form videos, photo stories, carousels, sale previews, remarkable finds, educational features and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Develop a simple, repeatable system that makes it easy for franchisees to submit photos, video and context from their estate sales without asking them to become content experts.
- Review incoming material and quickly identify the objects, discoveries and stories most likely to interest a national audience.
- Research the history and significance of featured items so the content is interesting, accurate and worth sharing.
- Creating content local franchisees can easily reshare or adapt, helping the national account strengthen local visibility without depending on every franchisee to run a sophisticated social program.
- Website content and page editing via WordPress
- Create and design print and digital content for franchisees to use in their local marketing efforts.
How You Will Use AI
AI will be part of how you work every day, not a line on your resume. You will design workflows and use AI tools or agents to help you:
- Organize and evaluate content submitted from estate sales across the country.
- Research items and surface the story behind each discovery.
- Generate and test hooks, captions, story angles and content concepts.
- Edit, caption, resize and repurpose one strong story across multiple platforms.
- Schedule content, monitor results and identify patterns in what performs.
- Increase output and reach without allowing the content to feel automated or generic.
The goal is not to use AI for its own sake. The goal is to enable one talented person to create the consistent reach and output that once required a much larger content team.
What You Bring
- Roughly one to three years of hands-on social media, content creation or related experience, or a portfolio that clearly demonstrates equivalent ability.
- Evidence that you have grown, meaningfully engaged or helped build a social audience. This may come from a brand, employer, client, organization or personal project.
- Strong short-form video editing, photography and visual storytelling skills. Professional production equipment is not required; excellent mobile-first work is welcome.
- Creative design capabilities and a working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite.
- A practical, current understanding of AI tools and the curiosity to keep testing better ways to research, create, automate and measure content.
- A strong instinct for hooks, pacing, captions, thumbnails, trends and the reasons people stop scrolling, watch and share.
- Good judgment. You know how to make content compelling while treating clients, families, personal property and franchisees with respect.
- The initiative to build systems, solve problems and keep moving when the process has not been fully designed for you.
- The ability to build cooperative relationships with franchisees and make participation easy, useful and enjoyable.
- A nice to have is experience selling on online marketplaces
A specific degree is not required. We care more about what you have created, how you think, how quickly you learn and what you can show us than the length of your resume.
What Success Looks Like
- You establish a reliable content pipeline with participating franchisees and consistently surface the best stories from Grasons estate sales nationwide.
- The national Grasons accounts develop a recognizable voice, visual style and publishing rhythm that audiences trust and look forward to.
- Follower growth, engagement, reach, video retention, sharing and community participation improve measurably over time.
- Social content produces trackable traffic to local estate sales, email and text signups, and online-auction experiences.
- AI-enabled workflows allow content volume and speed to grow without sacrificing brand quality, accuracy or judgment.
- Franchisees see the national social presence as an advantage they want to contribute to and use in their local markets.
- Grasons begins building an owned national audience that can support future online-auction growth and paid early-access membership opportunities.
What We Will Ask You to Show Us
A traditional resume will not tell us everything we need to know. Candidates should be prepared to share:
- Examples/portfolio of social content you personally created or substantially shaped.
- The results of an account, campaign or community you helped grow.
- How AI fits into your current content workflow, including specific examples.
- How you would turn one interesting estate-sale discovery into a week of content across several platforms.
