- Write 2–3 new long-form posts per week (1,200–1,500+ words).
- Apply SEO best practices: keywords, metadata, internal linking, and structure optimization.
- Format, optimize, and publish content directly in WordPress.
- Collaborate with SMEs and the SEO Manager to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Use SEO content tools (Clearscope, MarketMuse, SurferSEO) to improve quality scores.
- Maintain fast turnaround times (3–4 days per assignment).
- Proofread and QA all content before publishing.
- Partner with web operations and analytics teams for performance tracking and technical SEO.
Must Have
- Experience writing and editing web content in SEO or content marketing.
- Experience working in regulated industries (finance, banking, taxation, etc.).
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with AI/LLM tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.).
- Clear communication and presentation skills, especially in virtual settings.
- Comfortable on camera during Teams meetings (engaged and responsive).
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong proficiency with WordPress CMS.
- Deep familiarity with SEO principles: keyword research, metadata, on-page optimization.
- Excellent writing, organization, and fact-checking abilities.
- Consistent adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
Nice to Have
- Experience using Clearscope, MarketMuse, or SurferSEO.
- Basic understanding of U.S. tax topics or personal finance.
- Experience working in fast-paced editorial/marketing environments.
What You’ll Gain
- The chance to work with TaxAct, a leading digital tax preparation platform.
- Experience contributing to high-impact SEO initiatives tied to major IRS and tax law changes.
- A fast-paced publishing environment with meaningful visibility across TaxAct’s ecosystem.
