Senior Performance & Conversion Copywriter (Coaching/Courses) – $80/hr
We’re looking for a Senior Performance & Conversion Copywriter to join a small, values-led Meta ads agency working with purpose-driven coaches, course creators, and personal brands in the personal development, business, spiritual, and wellness space.
This is a core, long-term role inside the agency. Messaging is central to what we do – it’s not an afterthought or add-on. We believe strong ads begin with deep audience understanding and strategically aligned copy.
We’re looking for someone who can own that depth.
About The Role
Your primary focus will be writing high-performing copy for paid ads, including:
- Ad copy (Meta ads)
- Reels scripts
- Ad video scripts
Alongside this, you’ll also support funnel messaging when required, including:
- Funnel messaging audits
- Landing and sales pages
- Email sequences
We’re looking for someone who can work within our structured messaging process while bringing the skill and insight to deepen, refine, and stress-test messaging – not just execute briefs.
This role is primarily behind-the-scenes, with occasional Loom video audits to clients and light client collaboration in shared documents when client feedback requires it.
What You’ll Own
- Deepening and refining client Messaging and Audience Frameworks
- Conducting and synthesising voice-of-customer research.
- Identifying nuance gaps in positioning and surfacing strategic recommendations.
- Translating audience insight into high-performing ad copy and scripts.
- Auditing funnel messaging to ensure alignment with ad angles.
- Documenting audience insights clearly to support scalability as the agency grows.
With a client portfolio ranging between 7–10 active accounts (and continuing to grow), this role will be key in ensuring messaging remains consistent, strategic, and high quality across accounts.
What We’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)
- Strong experience writing performance-focused ad copy.
- Proven experience writing sales pages and email sequences.
- Deep understanding of funnels and how ads connect to conversion.
- Experience working with coaches, course creators, or personal brands.
- Ability to conduct and synthesise voice-of-customer research.
- Strategic thinking – not just wordsmithing.
- High attention to detail and consistently low revision rates.
- Ability to work independently within a clear strategic direction.
Nice to Have
- Background or interest in psychology, behavioural science, or emotionally intelligent messaging.
- Experience conducting messaging audits.
- Experience working inside an ads agency environment.
Hours & Structure
- Contractor role.
- Approximately 30–40 hours per month initially, depending on active client load.
- Structured as a monthly retainer aligned to the number of active clients, with scope to increase as the agency grows.
- Funnel or launch-specific copy (e.g. full sales pages, extensive email sequences) will be scoped separately from the core retainer.
- Remote and flexible, with preference for UK or US EST timezones.
Compensation
£60 per hour (~$80 USD)
This role will begin with a monthly retainer aligned to active client volume (estimated 30–40 hours per month initially), with the option to increase hours as client numbers grow.
