Scriptwriter – Financial Storytelling Channel | Martin Nguyen – $200-$1,000 Per Project
I’m hiring a scriptwriter for a finance YouTube channel run by Collateral (collateral.com), a financial storytelling firm that’s built the pitch decks and investor materials behind 400+ firms and around $10B in capital raised. The channel does the same thing on YouTube: company breakdowns, pitch deck teardowns, and the market reports everyone’s arguing about, all made genuinely watchable. You can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/@nikoludwig
The bar is Johnny Harris (https://www.youtube.com/@johnnyharris). A hook that holds the first thirty seconds, a story that carries all the way to the end, and something real underneath it. No listicles, no filler.
The channel feeds the business, so let me be straight about how that works. I’m not looking for sales scripts. Nobody books a call because you told them to in the outro. They book because the video was good enough that they trust Collateral to tell their story too. The writing has to earn that on its own. Make the video great and the call to action takes care of itself.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
You can take a dry or complicated topic and make people actually want to keep watching. You think in hooks and retention without making it feel like a formula. You research properly instead of guessing your way through a subject, because the audience here knows finance and will catch you if you’re faking it. You don’t need a finance background, but you need the curiosity to learn the material fast and get the details right. If you already pay attention to people like Johnny Harris, Cleo Abram, or Wendover, we’ll get on well.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
– Strong written English with a real feel for pacing and story
– Able to research a topic from scratch and get the facts right
– Some experience writing scripts or long-form video content (YouTube experience is a plus, not a must)
– Available to work remotely
To apply, send me one script you’re proud of, with a link to the video if it’s live. Then pick any video on the channel and tell me what you’d change about it. A few sentences is plenty. I care how you think more than how polished the pitch is. Include your rate, and whether you’d rather be paid per script or on a monthly retainer.
You can also email me martin@collateral.com, and make sure you cc niko@collateral.com & rodrigo@collateral.com as well. Thank you!
