Script Writer for Pokémon/Gaming YouTube Channel

Location: Mostly remote with flexible hours; ideally located near Essex, Vermont for better collaboration with our team
Pay: Negotiable based on experience. Will be paid per project and negotiated as we go depending on the complexity of the research / length of script.
About:
For SlakSquad, a Pokemon YouTube channel that just hit 3,000 subscribers. While we haven’t niched down yet, our content covers a wide range of Pokémon-related topics. We want to expand our content production. We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable scriptwriter to join our team. Would like a Pokémon enthusiast with a skill for writing engaging scripts and who is eager to help us bring out an authentic personality and style for both solo scripts and scripts written as dialogue. The Pokemon knowledge is more important than any scriptwriting experience, and an eagerness to uncover interesting and viral concepts centered around pokemon. No Education or previous experience required. High Schoolers / College students welcome.
Job Responsibilities:
– Write engaging and informative scripts for our Pokémon YouTube videos
– Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas
– Source and organize assets for videos and deliver them to editors
– Stay updated with YouTube trends to create relevant content
– Meet deadlines consistently
– Good spelling / grammar
– ChatGPT / AI can be used only if it meets our standards for end results.
Skills and Qualifications:
– Deep knowledge and love for Pokémon
– Discord for communication
– Understanding of YouTube trends and content creation
– Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets
– Willingness to work with us to adapt to a writing style/voice that suits our goals
– Ability to write engaging scripts tailored for YouTube
– Strong organizational skills for sourcing and managing video assets
– Reliable and able to meet deadlines
