Science Writer/AI Explainer
Our higher education client is looking for a Science Writer who is a thought leader in artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technology.
The work will be around 5-15 hours/week with flexible hours, fully remote, through June of 2026 with the possibility to extend.
Must have relevant portfolio samples in the AI/emerging technology space to be considered.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work with the clients’ team to translate complex AI concepts into clear, compelling, high-level narratives for a broader business and innovation audience.
- Write long-form articles that balance credibility with clarity and strategic messaging
- Synthesize interviews, notes, and source material into polished publish-ready pieces
IDEAL BACKGROUND:
- 5+ years of experience writing about science, technology, AI, or innovation
- Strong ability to explain sophisticated concepts in plain language
- Background in journalism, science communication, research writing, or editorial content
