Walker Strategy Co. was founded in 2019 as a way to serve therapists & counselors seeking to grow their own private practices with practical, effective marketing strategies. We exist to empower therapists—who have for too long been overworked and underpaid—to feel confident in the value they provide and to ultimately design a business that serves both their lives and the lives of their clients. Our mission is to offer strategy-driven copy, design, and marketing coaching for solo & boutique group practices to effectively + authentically fill their private pay caseloads.
The Role:
We are looking for a Copywriter who can sit at the intersection of creativity and strategy to deliver compelling, conversion-driven website copy for our clients and support strategic marketing content for the WSC brand.
This role requires strong listening and synthesis skills to distill ideas, feedback and goals into confident messaging that feels authentic. You’ll take client questionnaires, discovery notes, brand strategy inputs, and positioning insights and transform them into cohesive narratives that reflect each practitioner’s voice, expertise, and approach.
Drawing on your experience, you’ll deliver polished, ready-to-publish copy that clients can confidently plug into their website or pass to our in-house design team to build & launch their site.
Client Copywriting – 80%
- Use our proven framework to translate each practitioner’s vision into clear, engaging website messaging
- Support development of brand voice that is distinctive and propels prospective clients toward action
- Craft messaging that support both design flow and conversion strategy
- Write website copy that balances warmth, authority, clarity, and credibility
- Identify positioning gaps and proactively elevate messaging beyond surface-level edits
- Ensure copy aligns with SEO best practices without sacrificing voice or readability
- Guide clients toward confident messaging decisions while maintaining brand integrity
- Lead and/or participate in client-facing calls focused on excavating brand message and presenting copy
WSC Marketing Content – 20%
- Develop WSC website and landing page copy to reflect new and/or updated offers or brand messaging and landing pages
- Create email marketing campaign and social copy for weekly nurture content, sales, and product, service, or program launches
- Develop copy for lead magnets and nurture sequences
- Support the development of thought leadership content and strategic brand storytelling
Skills
- 3-5 years copywriting experience — agency experience is great, but not required
- Experience writing website copy, other marketing copywriting experience as a plus
- Experience with SEO and up-to-date knowledge of creating optimized content
- Comfortable writing long-form content, translating clinical jargon and concepts into relatable, client-friendly copy
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with quick (1-2 week) turnaround
- Understanding of structuring web copy and how it relates to site website design
- Ability to review and revise content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
- A creative thinker who can connect the dots so it doesn’t just sound good, it actually converts
Software and Tools:
- ClickUp or similar project management tool
- Slack
- Google Suite or Microsoft Suite
- Zoom or other video conferencing tools
- Dubsado or similar
