How does this role contribute? As a Farotech writer, you will be responsible for writing content specific to each client’s needs. You will need to be motivated to ensure that your content is grammatically correct, uses optimal SEO practices, reads well, and follows the templates designed for each piece of content. This may include fact-checking and verifying information and research. Writing must be SEO/GEO-focused and all writers will be trained according to Farotech and industry best practices.
Location: Remote, with flexible hours.
Competencies:
- Extensive computer experience
- Moderate to Extensive AI usage experience
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Docs
- Excel in meeting and beating deadlines
- Must be able to build and adapt editing and computer skills as necessary
- Strong research and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Must be able to communicate effectively through email, Skype, and phone
- Willing to complete ongoing training, including editor-specific exercises such as Greening or other revision-based training as needed
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or related field preferred
- Editing experience required (agency experience preferred)
- Marketing experience and SEO/GEO knowledge preferred
Employment Details:
- Hourly, Part-time (~10 hours), 1099-Independent Contractor position
