Online Reading/Writing Tutor – $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
MUST HAVE MIDDLE OR HIGH SCHOOL ELA TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN THE US. We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and energetic Tutor to join our educational team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ELA teaching and a desire to help students achieve their academic goals. This role involves providing personalized/group instruction online to students grades 6-7. The Tutor will utilize learning technologies and follow tailored curriculum plans to enhance the educational experience.
A bonus structure will be implemented for the right candidate. This position requires building relationships with families and students.
Responsibilities
- Provide small group tutoring sessions in Reading Comprehension (60%) and Writing (40%).
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance the tutoring experience-must be confident using Zoom.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation.
- Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Educate students on study skills and strategies to promote independent learning.
Qualifications
- Prefer a Certified Teacher with Reading/Writing experience.
- Experience working with Middle/High School students in an educational setting is essential.
- Experience with online teaching preferred.
- Must be available evenings and weekends (Sundays included)
- Strong writing skills.
- Highly organized keeping track of student progress and consistent monitoring.
