Non-fiction ghostwriter
We’re looking to add talented nonfiction ghostwriters to our Platinum Writer roster, and if you’ve ever wanted to get paid well to write books that change people’s lives, this might be for you.
What we do:
We’re a full-service ghostwriting company. We handle contracts, billing, client relationships, editorial support, and project management, so you can stay focused on what you do best: writing. Our writers always know where a project stands, from the book development stage through to the publishing party.
What you’d be writing:
Nonfiction self-help and memoir/self-help hybrid books. Think frameworks that change behavior. Think narratives that change lives. If you’ve read Atomic Habits, Becoming, or Greenlights and thought, “I could write something like that,” we want to talk.
What we like in a great ghostwriter:
– Serious range across nonfiction styles
– Strong structural thinking (you understand the reader’s transformation journey)
– Voice chameleon: You can write like the author, not like yourself
– Collaborative, not a lone wolf
– Genuinely loves books and the craft of writing them
– Handles feedback well and uses it to get better
– Adapts when deadlines shift or manuscripts need a pivot
Red flags:
– Heavy AI reliance (all writing samples are run through AI checks; if you use it, you’re out)
– Inconsistent or flaky
– Can’t take feedback or work within a team
– Just looking for any available gig
What Platinum Writers earn:
Earnings depend on how many book projects you take on with us.
Most writers can clear $60,000 in their first year.

The application process:
We take hiring seriously because our clients are counting on us to get it right.
Here’s how it works:
1. Submit 3 writing samples from 3 different hypothetical books showing your range (self-help, memoir/self-help hybrid, and one of your choice)
2. If your samples move forward, we’ll invite you to a two-way interview: half our questions for you, half your questions for us. Mutual fit matters here.
3. If you pass the interview, you’ll produce a 3-chapter outline based on a fictional book interview with our team lead.
This process isn’t meant to be a hurdle.
It’s meant to make sure this is the right home for your work.
