Marketing & Social Media Manager
Bodywise Pure Pilates is a classical Pilates studio in Utica, NY dedicated to making Pilates accessible to everyone. We believe movement is for every body, and our community reflects that by welcoming clients of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.
About the Role
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing & Social Media Manager to help us grow our reach and deepen our connection with both existing clients and new audiences. This is a dynamic role for someone who understands or has a genuine interest in Pilates and wellness, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a small business environment where initiative and creativity are valued. You’ll work closely with the studio’s founder to represent our brand voice (warm, knowledgeable, and inclusive) across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and schedule weekly content for Instagram and Facebook, including posts, captions, and stories
- Develop and send targeted email campaigns to existing clients and prospective clients
- Assist with adding and editing content on the studio website
- Coordinate visual content (photos, videos, graphics) with the founder
- Conduct ongoing research on outreach opportunities, local partnerships, and ways to increase visibility
- Develop and propose business development and marketing strategies
- Track and report on social media and email performance metrics
- Lead weekly check-in meetings with the studio owner to align on upcoming events and strategy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of marketing and/or social media management experience
- Strong proficiency with Instagram and Facebook
- Proficiency with Canva for content creation
- Experience working with small businesses or wellness/fitness brands
- Experience with Momence platform and Squarespace is a plus
- Familiarity with “Classical” Pilates preferred
- Exceptionally detail-oriented, proactive, and self-directed
- Able to translate big-picture ideas into organized, actionable plans
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time capacity for approximately 5 hrs/week
