The Marketing Copywriter and Editor will be responsible for creating and refining content that drives engagement, generates leads, and supports the growth of our clients’ brands. This role will collaborate closely with SEO, PPC, design, and client services teams to produce high-quality marketing materials, including website copy, blogs, social media posts, email campaigns, and more. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, a knack for storytelling, and impeccable editing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation:
Write persuasive, on-brand copy for websites, landing pages, email campaigns, blogs, and ad creatives.
Research industry trends, competitors, and target audiences to create content that aligns with client goals.
Collaborate with designers and marketers to ensure content enhances the overall campaign strategy.
Editing and Proofreading:
Edit and proofread all content to ensure it adheres to brand guidelines, is free of errors, and optimized for performance.
Refine drafts for clarity, tone, and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with SEO best practices.
Maintain consistency in messaging across all client touchpoints.
Strategy and Collaboration:
Work closely with the SEO and PPC teams to optimize content for search engines and ad performance.
Assist in developing content strategies that align with clients’ business objectives.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative campaign ideas.
Work with the Account Manager to align copy with the overall marketing strategy
Client Engagement:
Review client-provided content and provide feedback or recommendations for improvement.
Understand client branding to ensure all copy reflects their unique voice and positioning.
Participate in client onboarding and status meetings to gather insights and align on project goals.
Performance Tracking and Optimization:
Collaborate closely with the ad team and SEO team to align on performance goals and insights.
Use analytics tools to monitor content performance and provide actionable suggestions for improvement.
Work jointly with teams to conduct A/B testing for copy variations, ensuring data-driven decisions that resonate with target audiences.
Stay informed about industry trends and share innovative ideas to enhance overall content strategies.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a copywriter or editor, preferably in a marketing agency.
Strong understanding of Advertising principles and content marketing strategies.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
A creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand-building.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in writing for legal or professional services industries.
Knowledge of performance marketing and ad copy optimization.
Familiarity with content management systems and email marketing platforms.
