Market Commentary Writer + Social Editor
For our client, we are seeking a Market Commentary Writer + Social Editor to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will shape timely market commentary and editorial content that helps engage a younger investing audience. You will work across social, newsletter, and other distribution channels to turn market news into compelling, original storytelling. The position partners closely with lifecycle, social media, and creative teams to expand reach, improve engagement, and strengthen content performance.
Location: Remote – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily market news to generate timely content ideas that resonate with young professionals
- Manage the company’s content across social media with an emphasis on original material and newsletter adaptations
- Collaborate with lifecycle, social media, and creative teams to ensure effective distribution across channels
- Evaluate and recommend content formats and platforms to optimize audience reach and engagement
- Work with internal teams to assess content impact and refine strategies for better outcomes
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in financial writing and editing at reputable outlets, with a focus on market trends
- Experience creating original, timely long-form content
- Familiarity with investing and personal finance, particularly how macroeconomic data influences young professionals
- Strong creative storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex financial topics into engaging content
- Proficiency in audio, video, and/or social media production and dissemination
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
