Managing Editor, IRONMARKETS – Estimated: $70.1K – $85.6K a year
Seeking an experienced Managing Editor who maintains writing, publishing, social media, video/podcast reporting and organizational skills and is willing and able to juggle multiple tasks and projects with varying deadlines. Journalism and website management experience preferred. Industry experience in the construction network is preferred. SEO knowledge is preferred.

Purpose: To support the brand, content, and project efforts.
Job Results/Outcomes
1. Ensure digital properties contain fresh content and meet SEO standards and AP guidelines.
- Take ownership of the brand from an editorial perspective, including content direction.
- Act as the liaison between all construction brands.
- Complete articles and other assignments according to specified deadlines.
- Input articles, news items, blogs, product write-ups, and other content into the content management system.
- Collaborate with the Construction content team to identify and share content.
- Stay abreast of industry news and events. Must be willing to grow knowledge in construction, rental, asphalt, pavement, and concrete markets.
- Ensure content is edited and accurate.
- Post and submit content based on schedule.
- Generate original content ideas and potential revenue-generating opportunities and present those for vetting and approval.
- Monitor content performance to learn what content is working and what content isn’t.
- Repurpose content across different brand channels.
- Contribute to custom client content and programs when needed.
2. Other duties as assigned are achieved in helping the brand(s) meet revenue goal(s)
- Participate in team and company meetings.
- Engage in client networking and building relationships.
- Attend tradeshows/conferences and other industry events.
- Help proofread print pages to ensure quality content.
- Work with a Social Media Specialist to deploy engaging social media posts.
- Must be comfortable working with advertisers, conducting video interviews, conducting over-the-phone interviews, and participating in team and company meetings with video on.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Journalism and website management experience preferred.
- Industry experience in the construction network preferred.
- Must be able to join a dynamic team of journalists who exhibit pride, passion, positivity, and motivation.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding goals.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

- Ability to travel overnight at least 10% of the time.
- Demonstrated computer and software skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Parsely, Google Analytics, content management systems, and more.
