Managing Editor at SevenPonds – Estimated: $47.6K – $64.1K a year
SevenPonds.com, a website and online magazine that offers tools, resources and information about end of life, is looking for a Managing Editor to join our team. SevenPonds is not your usual website. We cover topics that, in many ways, are still taboo in our society — subjects like death and dying, aging, life-limiting illness, grief and loss. For that reason, we seek out a managing editor who has an interest in the topic of the end of life. Writing skills and expertise are important to us but a passion for our genre is a must.
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Managing Editor to oversee our editorial team and ensure the production of high-quality content. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in creative writing, editing, and fact-checking, with the ability to communicate effectively across various platforms. As Managing Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping our editorial vision and maintaining the integrity of our publication and the website. This is a remote, part-time, contract position. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of WordPress and AP Style. An excellent command of English grammar, punctuation and syntax is a must. This position will be to manage all of the SevenPonds writers regarding deadlines, publishing and the editing process for the SevenPonds magazine and website. Please review our blog (soon to be a magazine when our new website launches soon) to understand the scope of our publication. You will oversee the editorial and writers calendar. You will work in tandem with our end of life content topics creator.
