Long-Form Script Writer – PC Builds & Hardware | META PCs – $400-$700/script
META PCs is a PC building YouTube channel looking for a long-form script writer who actually knows hardware and knows how to make videos perform.
This is not a brief-handed-to-you role. You collaborate with our build team on what gets built and why. You shape the angle, find the story in the spec sheet, and write scripts that earn watch time. Every script is a chance to learn what’s working and push the next one further.
Fully remote. Async collaboration over Slack and Loom, video calls when they’re useful.
What you’ll do
- Work with our build team on concepts and angles before scripts start
- Research components, benchmarks, and competitive context
- Write long-form scripts in the 10-20 minute range
- Review channel analytics with us and use what’s landing to inform what comes next
- Iterate on hooks, pacing, and structure based on retention data
- Take two rounds of revisions per script
What we need from you
- You actually know PC hardware. Not “I’ve heard of GPUs.”
- Long-form video writing chops. You understand pacing, hooks, retention, and how to write for someone who improvises off an outline
- You think in retention curves. You can look at a video’s analytics and have a real opinion on why it underperformed and what to change next time
- You can collaborate async without losing the thread
- You write in plain language. No corporate copy. No AI closer phrases. No em dashes
- Bonus: you’ve written for tech YouTube channels before
Structure
- Contract, per-script, remote
- $400-700 per script depending on experience and complexity
- 2-4 scripts per month to start
- 90-day initial engagement, option to expand if it works
