Duties
- Research, investigate, and develop news stories that resonate with diverse audiences, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Write clear, engaging articles adhering to AP style guidelines to maintain consistency and professionalism.
- Conduct interviews and gather information through various methods including photography and videography to enrich storytelling.
- Edit and proofread content meticulously to ensure factual correctness, grammatical precision, and polished presentation.
- Produce multimedia content such as videos and photographs that complement written stories and enhance audience engagement.
- Manage social media platforms by sharing stories, engaging with followers, and monitoring trending topics to maximize reach.
- Collaborate with editors, photographers, videographers, and other team members to deliver comprehensive news coverage in a timely manner.
Experience
- Proven experience in journalism or media production with a strong portfolio of published work.
- Proficiency in AP style for writing and editing news articles.
- Skilled in photography and videography, including basic videography techniques for news reporting.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with diverse communities effectively.
- Familiarity with social media management tools and digital storytelling platforms.
- Strong research skills combined with an ability to verify facts accurately through multiple sources.
