Duties

- Write compelling articles, game summaries, and feature stories that adhere to AP style guidelines.
- Capture high-quality photographs and videography during events to enhance stories and social media content.
- Edit photos and videos for clarity, engagement, and professionalism using editing software.
- Conduct research on teams, players, and upcoming events to ensure accurate reporting.
- Fact-check all information before publication to maintain journalistic integrity.
- Proofread and copy edit articles for grammar, style, and accuracy before publishing.
- Collaborate with editors and other team members to develop story ideas that resonate with the community.
- Stay informed about local sports news and trends relevant to high school athletics.
