Freelance Writer (Remote) – $30 – 40 per hour

Our client is seeking a talented Freelance Writer to join their Studio team, supporting various business lines within the enterprise.

In this role, you will be responsible for articulating the brand voice across all products and service offerings through diverse media channels. You will collaborate closely with Creative Leads and the video team to ensure the consistency and alignment of the brand voice with brand standards across all marketing materials.

As a creative wordsmith, you will craft compelling marketing copy for new product launches, promotions, scripts, internal and external communications, social media, and go-to-market messaging. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of writing for both consumer and business-based audiences, and demonstrate high-level strategy, storytelling, writing techniques, and a distinctive personality that aligns with the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Create creative, concise, and clear copy across all internal and external touchpoints for campaigns and communications.
  • Develop core messaging to drive audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to communicate the brand personality and unique voice in all marketing-related copy.
  • Attend and contribute to regular team meetings to brainstorm content ideas supporting marketing programs and company initiatives.
  • Communicate complex ideas and data in a clear and compelling manner to target audiences.
  • Craft memorable copy that brings the brand voice to life while adhering to brand standards.
  • Copy-edit marketing campaign materials, web and mobile copy, emails, newsletters, and case studies.
  • Assist Creative Leads in developing content strategies.
  • Brainstorm and present ideas and concepts with other creative team members, working through the development and editing process.
  • Write various copy options, which may be presented to the client as storyboards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in creative copywriting, marketing, or agency roles.
  • Proven experience with projects involving design, brand, marketing, and product.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Highly efficient, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional creative writing, copy-editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing copy for brands and video scripts.
  • Proficient in B2B brand messaging, advertising copy, web content creation, social media, and email marketing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly creative and imaginative with an interest in new advertising trends and techniques.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment and adapt to constructive criticism and feedback.
