Freelance Copywriter – Animal Pharmaceuticals – $20/hr – $25/hr
A global leader in animal health—dedicated to advancing care for dogs, cats, horses, cattle, and livestock through innovative vaccines, medicines, and diagnostics—is seeking a freelance copywriter to support its Petcare and Livestock portfolios.
This role is ideal for someone who not only thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment but also has a genuine passion for animals and the people who care for them. You will play a critical part in ensuring marketing materials are compliant, accurate, and aligned with brand and regulatory standards that support the health and well-being of animals worldwide.
This is a 10-20hr per week freelance opportunity and the pay rate for this role is between $20-$25hr
Brand & Messaging
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of brand voice, tone, and messaging frameworks across pet and livestock portfolios
- Ensure all written materials are cohesive, consistent, and aligned with brand positioning
- Support the evolution of messaging based on product updates, veterinary/customer insights, and campaign performance learnings
- Write and optimize website content, including landing pages, product pages, and campaign-specific pages
- Partner with design, UX, and marketing teams to ensure copy enhances user experience, supports storytelling, and drives conversion
- Balance educational clarity with persuasive messaging in a regulated environment
- Develop and iterate on copy for paid media assets including Google Ads, Meta, Reddit, Pinterest, video scripts, and additional digital channels
- Craft high-performing headlines, descriptions, and CTAs grounded in performance marketing best practices
- Produce multiple variations for A/B testing and ongoing optimization
- Edit and refine blog content for clarity, SEO, and brand alignment
- Support educational resources and product-focused content initiatives
- Review and optimize email campaigns, promotions, and lifecycle communications to ensure alignment with segmentation and campaign goals
- Provide copy support for product launches, feature updates, and broader marketing initiatives
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, regulatory, and creative teams to ensure messaging accuracy and strategic alignment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in brand and performance copywriting across digital channels
- Strong understanding of conversion-focused writing and SEO best practices
- Ability to adapt messaging for different audiences while maintaining brand consistency
- Comfortable working cross-functionally within a highly regulated industry
- Detail-oriented with strong editing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
