Role Overview
Executive Career Upgrades is seeking an Executive Resume Writer & Copy Editor to join our Client Success team. This role focuses on refining and enhancing resumes and LinkedIn profiles generated through our AI platform, ensuring the final deliverables are clear, natural, and positioned effectively for executive level opportunities.
This position primarily involves editing and polishing content into strong executive level communication that highlights measurable business impact, leadership value, and strategic positioning. The ideal candidate understands how senior leaders present their experience and can ensure each resume reflects clarity, credibility, and strong market positioning.
You will work directly with experienced professionals navigating competitive job markets, helping ensure their resumes and LinkedIn profiles accurately communicate their leadership brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit AI generated resumes into clear, concise, and natural executive level language
- Produce ATS optimized resumes aligned with modern formatting standards
- Ensure resumes highlight measurable achievements, leadership impact, and strategic value
- Conduct resume intake calls to gather career details and clarify positioning
- Manage revision requests and incorporate client feedback efficiently
- Develop executive LinkedIn profiles including headline and About section
- Create LinkedIn banner graphics aligned to professional brand positioning
- Ensure consistency in tone, clarity, and executive-level messaging across all deliverables
- Translate technical or complex experience into simplified, results driven language
- Proofread final deliverables for grammar, structure, and overall quality
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure high client satisfaction
Qualifications
- Experience editing or writing executive level resumes (Director, VP, C suite)
- Strong copy editing skills with ability to convert robotic language into natural human communication
- Familiarity with ATS resume formatting and keyword optimization
- Experience developing LinkedIn profiles, including headline and About section
- Ability to identify measurable achievements and business impact
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability
- Experience conducting intake conversations with professionals
- Comfortable working with structured templates and processes
- Experience editing AI-generated content preferred
Preferred Experience
- Background in resume writing, copy editing, or professional branding
- Experience supporting senior leadership clients
- Understanding of executive job search positioning
- Experience creating LinkedIn banner graphics
- Familiarity with modern resume formatting best practices
