Educational Geography-Focused Scriptwriter | Geography By Geoff
The creative team behind Geography By Geoff & GeoLex (1M+ Subscribers) are looking for a talented script writer to join our team and help shape the storytelling for the Geography By Geoff channel. This person will be responsible for writing weekly scripts for the main series on the channel.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong background in YouTube video script writing, specifically tailored for educational content. We want to someone that can tell an amazing and captivating story through a geographic lens. This requires deep knowledge of storytelling, topic researching, and the ability to convey complex geography elements in an approachable way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and prep information on weekly video topics
- Draft a script that is on average 2,500-3,000 words total.
- Work closely with Geoff and producers, sharing drafts and performing revisions.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years in creative writing, ideally with a strong background of YouTube script writing
- Strong skills in storytelling and ability to convey complex topics in an approachable way.
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Ability to deliver projects on a reliable schedule and clearly communicate when needing time off.
- No AI writing allowed! All scripts will be tested using Pangram.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with creating educational online content
- An interest in geography
