Yahoo is seeking talented Editors to create compelling content across our digital platforms. You will be responsible for editing, producing, and curating high-quality editorial content that engages millions of users daily across news, sports, finance, and entertainment verticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce engaging content for Yahoo’s digital platforms including news articles, features, and multimedia content
- Ensure all content meets Yahoo’s editorial standards, style guidelines, and accuracy requirements
- Collaborate with writers, reporters, and content creators to develop compelling stories
- Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement metrics
- Monitor trending topics and news cycles to identify timely content opportunities
- Fact-check content and verify sources to maintain editorial integrity
- Work with cross-functional teams including design, product, and engineering
- Meet daily/weekly content production goals and deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field
- 2-4 years of editorial experience in digital media or news organizations
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of AP Style and editorial best practices
- Experience with content management systems (CMS)
- Understanding of digital media metrics and analytics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent attention to detail and fact-checking abilities
