About the role

The Editing Lead is responsible for overseeing the TopLine editorial team and ensuring the production of high-quality research that aligns with the company’s standards and goals. This role involves managing editorial workflows, recruiting editors, mentoring editors, and collaborating with various departments to drive research strategy and execution. The ideal candidate is a seasoned editor with strong leadership skills, a passion for excellence, and a strong eye for detail.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of editors, ensuring adherence to editorial guidelines and quality standards.
  • Establish and implement best practices for editing and research production.
  • Collaborate with TopLine Operations Manager and stakeholders on editorial plans and initiatives.
  • Actively edit and oversee research to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Identify research opportunities and gaps, driving the creation of relevant content.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of editorial guidelines and processes.
  • Develop and manage editorial workflows for efficient and timely production.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in editorial processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Excellent editing, proofreading, and writing skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in editing
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred but not required
