About the Job
Exciting new channel focused on creating in-depth and engaging documentaries about the dark side of the US food and fast food industry.
This isn’t just another freelance gig: you’ll be joining a long-term project with a big goal: reaching 100k subscribers within the first year.
You’ll be collaborating closely with the channel’s founder, who has teamed up with experienced mentors managing multiple successful channels with 100k+ subscribers.
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver compelling scripts that blend research, storytelling, and entertainment.
You’ll help shape the direction of the channel by diving deep into new topics each week and presenting them in a way that captivates and informs the audience..
You’ll also be receiving direct feedback and assistance on your work from one of the top scriptwriters in the industry.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who loves learning and storytelling. You’re curious, always eager to research new topics, and can turn complex information into engaging, narrative-driven scripts.
You understand how to hook viewers and maintain their attention through well-structured scripts. Additionally, you value the importance of trying to hone your craft to always stay on top of the game.
Ideally you have experience in writing, either for YouTube or other storytelling mediums.
Having worked on similar scripts, or a background related to the food food industry is a huge plus.
Additionally, you need to be a team player. We’ll be working directly together for the long-term, and you should be excited about being part of building something worthwhile from the ground up.
Job Requirements
Ability to deliver 4 scripts per month (2,000–4,000 words each) with the potential to scale up to 6 scripts per month as the channel grows.
