See below for details! 📝
(Yes, it’s specific — I’m willing to hold out for the right person.)
The role
I’m seeking an experienced digital writer and editor, ideally with direct legal experience (e.g., a former lawyer or paralegal), for an ongoing 15-20 hour per week engagement writing and editing copy for email, ads, and web pages for CS DISCO’s marketing org.
Remote is okay, but you must be able to take 1-3 meetings per week during business hours in U.S. Central Time.
Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with the DISCO content team to write and edit copy for:
– Marketing email nurtures
– Sales email cadences
– Ad copy
– Web copy
– Social content
We’ll meet 1-3x/week to brief on upcoming projects, provide status updates, etc.
You
– Are an immaculate writer and editor, with the portfolio to prove it.
-Have experience writing for the web, particularly email nurtures, outreach cadences, ad copy, web copy, and social content.
– Are organized and self-motivated, proactive about status updates and expectation management.
– Take and provide feedback well.
– Are a great communicator.
– Can adapt voice and tone to different formats and campaigns.
-Are pleasant to work with – extremely qualified jerks need not apply.
Even better if you have
– Experience working as a lawyer, paralegal, or litigation support/discovery specialist, or experience working closely with such individuals in a law firm or corporate legal setting.
+ EXTREME preference given to candidates with this experience!
Who you’ll be working with
A small content team within a vibrant marketing org at an Austin-based legal technology company specializing in ediscovery and AI solutions and services for law firms and corporate legal teams around the globe.
How to apply
DM me with a few sentences explaining how you meet the experience criteria above, plus a link to a writing sample (NOT one heavily edited by someone else, please; I need to see how you actually write).
