Digital Copywriter (Contract) at Multimedia Solutions

Multimedia Solutions is seeking an experienced Digital Copywriter to join our growing team on a contract basis. Working closely with our strategy, creative, UX, and technical development groups, this individual will play a critical role in shaping digital experiences for our clients through compelling, conversion-focused copy.
This role goes beyond writing. The ideal candidate understands how content supports user experience, SEO performance, and brand storytelling across complex website redesigns. You will collaborate during the wireframing and concepting phases, contribute to messaging architecture, and ensure that copy is implemented accurately and strategically once populated within the CMS.

Role / Responsibilities:
- Partner with strategists, UX designers, and developers during website redesign projects to shape messaging frameworks and content hierarchies
- Contribute to wireframing and concepting sessions, ensuring content strategy aligns with user journeys and conversion goals
- Develop clear, compelling, and brand-aligned website copy across a range of industries
- Translate complex information into accessible, engaging digital content
- Create SEO-optimized content including page titles, meta descriptions, header structures, and keyword-aligned body copy
- Ensure content adheres to SEO best practices and supports organic search visibility
- Review and quality control copy placement once populated within the site to ensure accuracy, readability, and design alignment
- Collaborate with designers to ensure visual and verbal messaging work cohesively
- Develop supporting copy for digital campaigns, email marketing, landing pages, and social initiatives as needed
- Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across all digital touchpoints
- Proactively recommend content improvements that enhance usability, engagement, and conversion
Requirements:
- 4-year college degree from an accredited university (English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience writing for digital platforms, particularly website redesigns
- Demonstrated experience collaborating within cross-functional teams during UX and wireframing phases
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword integration, metadata development, and search intent
- Ability to think strategically about messaging architecture, content flow, and user experience
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience reviewing content within a CMS environment and conducting quality control
- Ability to adapt tone and voice across multiple brands and industries
- Strong communication skills and comfort participating in client-facing conversations when needed
- Creative, curious, and detail-oriented mindset
- Fluency in English
