Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Crypto Content Writer / Web3 Journalist. The role involves researching developments in crypto, blockchain, and Web3, then producing clear, engaging articles, explainers, newsletters, and social content tailored to CUVCPES’s audience. The writer will develop and execute content ideas, conduct interviews with founders, investors, and industry experts, and translate complex technical or financial concepts into accessible language. Day-to-day tasks include planning editorial calendars, drafting and revising content, proofreading for accuracy and clarity, and collaborating with the team to align content with the society’s educational and community goals. The role may also involve monitoring relevant news, identifying emerging trends, and suggesting content formats that enhance reach and engagement across digital channels.
Qualifications
- Write news and articles: Promptly cover events: hacks, listings, regulatory news, protocol launches, whale movements.
- Conduct investigations: Dig deeper than press releases: verify on-chain data, find connections between wallets, and expose scams and fraudulent schemes.
- Conduct interviews: Talk to founders, developers, traders, and regulators, ask tough questions, and turn the answers into readable material.
- Edit texts: Work with authors, proofread articles, verify facts, and ensure every statement is backed by a link to a source.
- Run the media’s social networks: Post article announcements, write threads on X (Twitter), engage the audience in discussion, and grow followers.
- Create educational content: Write guides, reviews, and tutorials that help newcomers understand crypto.
