Job description

OPPORTUNITY TO ENHANCE YOUR CAREER – It’s about exceeding your potential.

This role sits within Korn Ferry’s Culture, Change and Communication (C3) practice. In this practice, we provide 360 support to help our clients drive mindset and behavior change at scale. Our human-centric approach is focused on inspiring people through purpose, demonstrating empathy as people adjust to new realities, building trust through transparency and communication, and inviting participation and co-creation every step of the way. Korn Ferry’s unique advantage is that we understand human motivation and can help leaders to shift mindsets and behaviors while sustaining new ways of working through total rewards, organization design and incentive structures.

As a Consultant, you will work on project teams with more seasoned practitioners and sales colleagues to deliver custom solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. Individuals at this level exercise judgment in understanding client issues and customizing solutions to fit. They have developed a level of presence and maturity that enables them to manage project complexity, identify and address risk and engage seamlessly with client contacts.

This particular C3 resource must be a strong writer with interest in working with Communications and Creative colleagues within our practice. This individual ideally has experience infusing “corporate” communications with creativity, bringing abstract concepts (such as leadership behaviors, company values and employee value proposition) to life with short, memorable copy that motivates and earns attention. They should understand how to engage with creatives, such as designers, and be able to provide creative direction and guidance to deliver assets in line with client expectations. They should have keen attention to detail, be a strong proofreader and have a commitment to delivering excellent work.

This role must be able to independently develop first drafts of deliverables and be comfortable working against deadlines. Business development is not a requirement at this level but successful consultants often generate organic growth by spotting opportunities to further support current clients in the course of delivering day-to-day work.

Finally, this individual must have a strong client service orientation, being willing to go above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing first drafts of communications-specific deliverables, including narratives, emails, video scripts, key messages, social content and frequently asked questions.
  • Taking part in brainstorming sessions to come up with creative solutions for client opportunities.
  • Find ways to support senior leaders and other team members in executing project objectives.
  • Deliver high quality work that meets expectations for timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
  • Help project manage significant engagements or workstreams, including building and updating timelines and ensuring other team members are accountable for deliverables.
  • Support relationship development within accounts.
  • Support the design or development of solutions for our clients by working as part of a client or opportunity team and leveraging the insights gained through research and analytics.
  • Where time permits, contribute to winning profitable business by conducting background research, proposal writing, shaping opportunities, pitch preparation and opportunity spotting in clients.
  • Work with and coordinate activities with colleagues across teams. Manage peers and more junior resources on projects. Provide guidance and coaching to more junior colleagues.
  • Continue to develop a strong internal brand with a network of Korn Ferry Advisory colleagues to receive guidance, leverage resources, identify additional sources of project work, etc. Begin to broaden network across the KF enterprise.
  • Proactively develop internal relationships outside of team/office including other knowledge experts.
  • Capable of identifying opportunities for other Korn Ferry Advisory practices and providing high-level descriptions of these services to client.
