The Opportunity

Creative Copywriters (CC) support the Vice President, Creative Director (VPCD) and work collaboratively with the marketing team specialists. This is a client facing position. You will work with colleagues across the agency to generate and execute creative content for Tech and B2B clients. CCs are confident in participating in brainstorms, developing original creative concepts and themes and creating copy for a variety of mediums with appropriate voice for target audiences. The CC works collaboratively with the VPCD and content strategists across teams to develop ideas and strategies that deliver exceptional work and overall objectives for clients and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Creative leadership
    • Create written content and campaigns that work across the sales funnel such as marketing materials, advertisements, thought leadership and sales enablement materials.
    • Develop well researched short form and long form content for B2B technology clients. This includes but is not limited to writing research reports, social media posts, web copy, advertising headlines, demand generation ebooks, video scripts, and marketing emails.
    • Carefully review project briefs to develop ideas that align with audience and communication goals.
    • Research client, competitor and industry news to help provide recommendations for clients on topics, trends and potential whitespace opportunities
    • Work in partnership with designers, creative directors and content strategists to generate and pitch clients on new content ideas before fully executing a brief.
    • Uphold high writing standards and ensure all content shared with clients meet project, client and agency standards
  • Account Management:
    • Provide guidance for clients and team leads on content topics, creative themes and content formats.
    • Participate within teams to effectively execute client initiatives and integrated communications plans.
    • Confidently present creative concepts, campaigns and new ideas to clients.
    • Collect and implement internal and client feedback.
    • Maintain positive business relationships including strong internal communications, staying up to date on email and Slack communications while working on various writing assignments.
  • Business Development:
    • Drive organic growth by upselling new ideas and projects to existing clients.
    • Develop stylistic direction and execute for a wide variety of communications projects.
  • Agency Leadership
    • Advocate for continued learning and personal growth for all employees.
    • Educate employees on the creative capabilities to help others see how creative content can be used to support integrated clients.
    • Work with People Ops and VPCD to build a team of creative collaborators, freelancers and partners to support client and agency demands.
    • Maintain an active presence in company culture.
    • Proactively seek to understand content marketing best practices and ways to appeal to busy B2B decision makers.


What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years’ experience (or equivalent expertise and education) in creative copywriting, communications, marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
  • 3+ years (or equivalent expertise) in an agency environment serving in a creative copy capacity.
  • Experience supporting B2B technology clients for mid-size and enterprise clients is a must.
  • Experience in any of the following industries is desired: Financial technology or FinTech, SaaS, Security, Telecommunications, Energy, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to build, conceptualize and execute creative integrated communications programs that align with client/company business goals.
  • Adaptable to feedback.
  • Collaborative, team oriented and an effective communicator.
  • Organized, works well with project managers and account managers and meets deadlines. Proven history and portfolio demonstrating creativity for B2B and technology clients and supporting short form copy, video, and long form copy content projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of the fundamentals of writing , creative processes, marketing, design and marketing.
