Creative and Copywriting Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fixed 2-month contract position with the option to renew. The role is remote with a flexible schedule.
The Creative and copywriting lead will bring strong creative leadership and copywriting expertise to our team, helping shape and execute compelling campaigns that meet client goals. This role will be split into two different projects. One is a campaign for a philanthropic foundation and the other is a branding and messaging refresh for a nonprofit. In both projects, this person will be responsible for all copywriting deliverables, from ideation to execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative & Copywriting
- Lead and execute on copywriting for a 3-4 page campaign landing page
- Develop copy for illustrative campaign assets, including (but not limited to) social media posts, OOH mockups, video concepts/storyboards
- Ensure all creative work aligns with the strategic vision and messaging framework
Strategic Consultation and creative direction
- Provide creative direction for campaign production (creative production vision and brief)
- Provide ongoing consultation on campaign production scoping, including recommendations on how best to allocate the production budgetCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and brand alignment
Branding messaging refinement
- Implement client feedback on key brand messaging (including a manifesto, audience-specific messaging, and brand tagline.
- Lead on the messaging toolkit presentation development.
WHO YOU ARE
- A seasoned creative leader with experience in advertising, marketing, or branding
- A skilled copywriter with a portfolio showcasing multi-channel campaign work.
- Experienced in developing strategic messaging and creative assets for high-profile brands
- Adept at working in fast-paced, collaborative environments with evolving priorities
- A strategic thinker with a strong ability to translate brand objectives into compelling creative execution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, ideally as an ACD or Senior Copywriter
- A strong portfolio of campaign work across digital, social, and traditional media
- Experience with campaign production direction and briefing
- Experience working with B2B and nonprofit brands is a plus
- Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively
