This copywriter position will be responsible for supporting the Creative Director, the clinical creative team, and internal Syneos Health clients in creating and maintaining the vision for all assigned work.
Responsibilities
- Effectively develop copy for assigned work with these primary deliverables:
- Clinical copy of Video scripts
- Digital content (landing pages and banner ads) o GCC&M white papers, brochures, emails, banner ads
- Develop and maintain the creative direction/vision to support multiple workstreams and follow various guidelines
- Adhere to strict timelines and estimates
- Be an active voice in all strategic and tactical meetings
- Own copy from start to finish, serving as the subject matter expert and defending copy best practices including being comfortable pushing back and advising internal teams as necessary
- Ensure error-free content
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with project managers and internal clients
- Embrace AI as a tool in content development
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Partner with UX team to develop effective digital content
- Partner with artists to develop effective information design
- Communicate similar information across different audiences with audience-appropriate messaging
Mandatories
- BA/BS in English or a science
- Superior language, grammar, and writing skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years of writing experience in pharma industry including experience in:
- Interpreting clinical data
- Knowledge of phases of clinical research o Understanding of clinical benefit claims o Website/landing page/banner ad writing o Video scriptwriting
- Understanding of writing in a regulated environment
- Proactive self-starter
- Able to work independently yet recognize when to raise red flags to other team members
- Ability to distill complex protocol language and data into key messages for patient friendly materials and to professional audiences as well
- Flexibility in shifting priorities, quick turnarounds and last-minute changes
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Resourceful and able to navigate systems and conduct disease state research independently
