Copywriter, Lionbridge – $30 – $35 an hour
Lionbridge is seeking an experienced Copy Editor for Software Developer Training Content and Documentation to support a key client in the software security space. In this role, you will review and copyedit technical training materials and product documentation created by multiple vendors for a developer-focused audience. The position requires strong technical editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, clarity, and consistency. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented editor with experience in software documentation and technical training content.
What You Will Do
- Copyedit and review software developer training content and technical documentation for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Ensure all content adheres to the Microsoft Style Guide (MSTP) and established standards
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to resolve technical and editorial questions
- Manage and update content using workflow tools such as Docusaurus, Markdown, and GitLab
- Adapt quickly to changing project priorities while meeting deadlines
To Be Successful You Will Have
- 3+ years of professional copy-editing experience, preferably with technical or software-related content
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical subject matter experts and client stakeholders
- Experience editing software training materials and documentation using the Microsoft Style Guide (MSTP)
- Hands-on experience with documentation workflows and tools, including Docusaurus, Markdown, and GitLab
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and excellent written English grammar
