The KeelWorks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) approved nonprofit foundation dedicated to’ to support a better world by fostering learning competence, emotional intelligence, and networked intelligence, with a particular focus on empowering the economically disadvantaged. We aim to promote global economic equality through individual empowerment and inclusion, ultimately creating a more peaceful and equitable world.
We specifically aim to bring greater participation to the economically disadvantaged across the globe and in building a system to support upward mobility. We operate on the belief that unrealized human potential is a loss for everyone, that circumstances don’t define individuals, that the hunger for learning is universal, and that every learner has unique gifts. Our programs include KeelWings, which provides practical experience for recent graduates, and KeelMate, which supports the experienced professionals.
About the Role
KeelWorks Foundation is looking for a creative and passionate Copywriter to help share our mission through meaningful, inspiring writing. You’ll create content that connects with people, encourages support, and strengthens our online presence.
This role is perfect for someone with some writing experience who’s eager to learn more about digital marketing and storytelling in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
About the Position
Key Responsibilities include:
- Write clear and engaging content for blogs, newsletters, social media, and other digital materials.
- Help keep a consistent voice and message across all our communications.
- Work with our design and marketing teams to make sure words and visuals fit well together.
- Research topics and create content that supports KeelWorks’ mission and values.
- Edit and proofread writing for clarity, tone, and accuracy.
- Help plan content calendars and storytelling campaigns.
- Learn how to write with SEO and online engagement in mind.
What We’re Looking For
Required (or Willing to Learn)
- Some writing experience — this can include blogs, marketing content, or creative writing.
- Good grasp of English grammar, clarity, and storytelling.
- Interest in digital marketing and how writing supports audience engagement.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
- Passion for KeelWorks’ mission and the power of good communication.
Nice to Have (but Not Required)
- Coursework or background in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or English.
- Experience writing for nonprofits or social-impact projects.
- Familiarity with SEO, analytics, or content tools like WordPress.
- Interest in learning how to adapt your writing for different audiences and formats.
