Planet Interactive is looking for a Copy Editor/Writer to join our well-known lifestyle brand technology client on an 10-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working a fully remote schedule. The client does prefer someone working on EST time zone.
This role will require almost an equal amount of copy editing and writing.
Responsibilities
- Edit existing and new educational and enablement materials for internal teams and external partners.
- Write and adapt information across a range of formats, including presentation, email, in-product, web, social, 1 pager, and more, balancing product, stakeholder and brand requirements.
- Pitch, develop, and craft content that educates and engages based on the brand standards and brand voice.
- Write short-form and long-form original copy and rework existing copy, translating complex topics into simple, compelling prose for assets such as display, channel specific copy, email, social, or web.
- Edit light touch projects to heavier touch projects using the style guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal content strategists, designers, and international teams for content-related deliverables.
- Manage multiple projects while keeping to deadlines and work cross-functionally to meet these deadlines.
- Update and optimize evergreen content from the curriculum library.
- Support content production with QA and building/publishing of content, as needed.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy while adapting quickly to new information and new processes.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of editing and writing experience, ideally for a digital media or tech company.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Portfolio/ samples of work (editing and writing)
- Experience with Google Suite and any exposure/experience with Asana and Figma would be helpful.
- Experience with educational or e-learning content is a plus.
- Experience in journalism or editorial is ideal.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, creative and curious, with a pulse on current culture and trends.
