Copy Editor
Responsibilities:

- Edit and fact-check content (includes but is not limited to blogs, long-form guides, emails, text messages, PR bylines, web pages, video scripts, and social media posts)

- Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors

- Check content against brand guidelines, internal copy preferences, and AP style guide

- Ensure consistency in tone and voice across all content types

- Fact-check for industry, software, and brand accuracies

- Review content for SEO best practices and readability

- Submit edits in a timely manner to ensure the team is meeting all publish dates and staying aligned with content calendar

- Provide detailed feedback to writers, when needed, to arrive at a final piece of content that’s in line with brand expectations

- Identify inconsistencies that should be added to internal copy preferences and brand guidelines
Qualifications:

- Associate degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field

- Previous experience in a copy editor role

- Comfortability managing multiple brand style guidelines and preferences
Preferred (but not required) experience:

- Previous role(s) in a marketing agency

Salary – $50k – $65k
