Commercial Copywriter – Remote – $50,000 – $55,000 a year

Latino Media Network is seeking an experienced Copywriter who will be responsible for creating engaging and effective radio commercials that promote products and services for clients. This individual will assist the Company in helping build the commercial production process and systems. They will work closely with the Sales and Production Teams to develop compelling scripts for advertisements, including writing cultural relevant copy that creates engagement and action. Reporting to the EVP, Technology & Operations, you will be responsible for copywriting to support 16 radio stations.


Key Responsibilities

Create engaging and persuasive written content to service the 16 radio stations

  • Develop scripts for advertisements and creative concepts for radio commercials
  • Explore using copywriting ai to help develop scripts and build efficiencies into process
  • Edit and proofread content for accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines
  • Coordinate script writing, voice talent recording, review by account executives and final uploading into system
  • Interact routinely with team members in Production, Sales and Operations to manage the flow of information and implementation of each campaign in a timely manner and exceed revenue budget goals
  • Generate and pitch ideas; write scripts, work with AEs
  • Present ideas and concepts and incorporate feedback into final content
  • Recommend music; organize and run recording sessions; edit and produce finished commercials when applicable
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve the quality of LMN production
  • Attend highly targeted client meetings with rep or sales leadership to provide advertiser with consultative feedback on our approach to creating high performing Hispanic ads
  • Partner with marketing lead to showcase best in class LMN spanish language audio creative
  • Play a part in developing copywriting policies and processes for the Company
  • Responsible for managing budget and for ensuring the efficient use of resources
  • You may be expected to work on-site in a studio if required
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

You Have These

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in broadcast/radio commercial production management
  • Bilingual – English / Spanish
  • Must possess strong Spanish language skills, including accurate grammar, correct sentence structure, proper use of accents, and overall fluency to ensure high-quality translations.
  • Strong creative storytelling skills and ability to develop engaging concepts and scripts
  • Knowledge of diverse Hispanic communities and Spanish language and cultural nuances across markets, from Florida to California
  • Ability to generate original ideas and think creatively about how to communicate them
  • Ability to translate English copy to a fully completed compelling Spanish script
  • Proficiency with recording equipment, audio / computer editing, and mixing software
  • Experience with VCreative Production Software
  • Adaptable to different audiences and platforms
  • Knowledge on how to source music or audio archive material
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, account executives, voice-over talent and creative team
  • Ability to use knowledge of radio station brand, and insight into the lives of listeners, to create successful advertising on Radio
  • Ability to operate radio studios, record audio in studios and edit audio
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with prior experience successfully managing projects in a remote capacity
  • Outstanding people skills with a collaborative approach when working within a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize effectively to aid scheduling
  • Acute attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Understanding that the job may sometimes involve long hours, weekends in order to meet client deadlines
  • Highly organized and agile – will work in a fast paced environment
