We are a creative startup passionate about blending cute, humorous storytelling with enchanting, Ghibli-inspired fantasy worlds. We’re launching new platform and we are looking to produce a unique, short comic book that captivates audiences with its charm and wit.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly creative writer to develop a short comic book ( 30 pages ) that combines fantasy elements, humor, and a heartwarming, whimsical style reminiscent of Studio Ghibli. The ideal candidate has a knack for crafting engaging narratives that are both cute and funny while drawing readers into a magical world.
Responsibilities:
- Develop original story ideas and scripts for a short comic book project based on existing characters
- Create compelling, quirky characters and captivating dialogue
- Work collaboratively with our creative team to refine the narrative and ensure alignment with the visual style
- Deliver a high-quality, sample script as part of the application process
Requirements:
- Proven experience in creative writing, preferably in comic books or graphic novels
- A strong portfolio that showcases your storytelling abilities and creativity
- Ability to write in a cute, humorous, and imaginative style
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must be able to start as soon as possible
- Must be able to work seemlessly with AI
- Fixed budget project ( this is initially small project with limited budget, that can be extended further )
