The Role
You will shape and communicate the story of Rewind across brand, narrative, community, and internal thought leadership. You’ll turn subject-matter experts into recognizable industry voices, elevate how Rewind shows up across every channel, and guide the creative team to operate with a revenue-driven mindset.
This is a hands-on role. You will write, edit, ghostwrite, coach, and direct creative output. You’ll build systems that turn brand storytelling into measurable influence, engagement, and pipeline contribution.
This is not a content factory. This is brand, narrative, and influence, powered by clarity, craft, and strategic execution.
Why This Role Matters
A strong brand emerges from clarity, authority, and consistent storytelling. Rewind’s next phase requires internal experts who communicate with impact, a creative team that understands how narrative builds pipeline, and a brand that shows up with confidence in every touchpoint.
This role leads that shift.
What You’ll Do
Brand & Narrative Leadership
- Ownership of Rewind’s brand narrative, tone of voice, and identity.
- Creation of storytelling frameworks that shape launches, announcements, campaigns, and brand-level communication.
- Hands-on writing and editing for high-impact brand assets, executive narratives, vision documents, keynote scripts, and core web content.
- Full responsibility for website clarity, storytelling, and narrative structure.
Internal Influencer Development
- Build and run Rewind’s internal influencer program, turning execs, engineers, PMs, and data experts into trusted public voices.
- Ghostwrite for SMEs across LinkedIn, articles, blogs, internal notes, speaker pitches, community posts, and external communications.
- Create tailored voice guides for internal experts while maintaining brand alignment.
- Extract insights from technical and product teams and transform them into simple, credible stories.
- Coach internal contributors on communication, presence, clarity, and message discipline.
- Support speaking submissions, conference materials, and recorded or live presentations.
Creative Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and coach Rewind’s creative team, which currently includes one writer and one designer, along with freelancers and agency partners.
- Develop the team’s strategic thinking so they understand how creative work influences funnel movement, pipeline creation, and revenue outcomes.
- Establish expectations for proactive idea generation, not just task execution.
- Train creative team members to build assets and stories that support specific pipeline goals and audience journeys.
- Introduce review processes that elevate quality while improving speed and clarity.
- Create a culture where creativity serves narrative, clarity, and measurable GTM impact.
Community & Engagement
- Lead Rewind’s presence across community channels and technical ecosystems.
- Design programs that encourage conversation, contribution, and recognition for internal experts.
- Amplify expert voices across community platforms to strengthen brand trust and visibility.
- Operate community content as a narrative engine, not as volume production.
Cross-Functional Narrative Alignment
- Partner with Product Marketing on messaging frameworks and positioning.
- Coach GTM teams on tone, clarity, and story-driven communication.
Who are you
- You think in stories and narratives, not assets and outputs.
- You write with precision and edit with conviction.
- You know how to turn technical insights into simple, powerful messages.
- You can lead creatives and raise their strategic awareness.
- You’re comfortable ghostwriting in multiple voices while staying authentic.
- You know how to guide teams toward GTM impact, not just creative quality.
- You’re organized, fast, curious, and not afraid to push for clarity.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of experience in brand, storytelling, communications, or thought leadership roles.
- B2B SaaS and cybersecurity or DevOps experience
- Experience writing and ghostwriting for executives or SMEs.
- Experience managing creative teams or external creative partners.
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates clarity, storytelling, and voice control.
